Blistered Shishito Peppers

Blistered Shishito Peppers

Yields 2 - 4 Servings

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces shishito peppers

  • 1 teaspoon neutral cooking oil (such as avocado oil)

  • Corse ground sea salt, to taste

Method

On a mixing bowl, toss peppers in oil. Set aside.

Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat.

Transfer peppers to skillet and cook undisturbed until blistered, approximately 3 - 5 minutes. Turn peppers and cook until tender and blistered on another side, approximately 2 minutes more.

Remove from heat. Season with salt and serve immediately.
