Rosemary Garlic Gouda Puff
Yields 8 Slices
Puff Ingredients
3 eggs
1/2 cup half-and-half milk
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 cup grated gouda cheese
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 – 3 springs fresh rosemary
2 – 3 garlic cloves
Seasoning Ingredients (for garnish):
1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Method
Preheat over to 400 degree F.
In a small bowl, whisk together seasoning of sea salt, garlic powder and dried rosemary. Set aside.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, flour, salt and pepper in bowl until smooth. Stir in cheese.
In a cast iron or other heavy bottom oven safe skillet, melt butter with fresh rosemary and garlic. Stir to coat the bottom of the skillet.
Pour batter into the skillet. Transfer to oven. Bake until puffed and golden brown, approximately 25 minutes.
Sprinkle salt seasoning atop puff pastry. Serve immediately and enjoy!
